Launching AutoAuto Autonomous Contests

In the ever-evolving landscape of education, fostering a solid foundation in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence is of paramount importance. Keeping this in mind, AutoAuto, a pioneer in hands-on learning, has long offered students a comprehensive, 180+ hour curriculum utilizing physical and virtual self-driving vehicles. These instruments act as a conduit for students to grasp the nuances of Python and AI, empowering them to create, innovate, and compete. Today, we’re thrilled to announce the latest addition to our learning platform – the AutoAuto Autonomous Contests.

Since our inception, AutoAuto has been committed to bringing a hands-on, engaging learning experience to students across different age groups. To debut the AutoAuto Autonomous Contests, we’ve partnered with Anaconda, Inc., a leader in Scientific Computing and Data Science Consultancy Services, and launched our platform expansion at their Data Science Expo.

The AutoAuto Autonomous Contests present a new realm of challenges and possibilities for our learners. In the inaugural phase, we introduced two exhilarating live-coding-challenges: the “AutoAuto Battle” and the “AutoAuto Semi-Autonomous Race”. Now schools have auto-ranked group challenges to easily set contests by the end of a school year, or in regional competitions among the same district schools.

In the AutoAuto battle, up to 12 autonomous cars participate in an electrifying virtual arena skirmish. Vehicles unleash soccer balls and employ strategic collisions, with the contest coming to a close when only three cars remain in the field. This exciting arena competition pushes the students to design intelligent algorithms and execute strategic maneuvers, driving them to understand AI principles in an interactive, competitive environment.

Following the AutoAuto Battle, the AutoAuto semi-autonomous race takes a slightly different approach. This is a race featuring up to 20 self-driving cars that navigate the track autonomously. Students are tasked to add new algorithmic functions in order to make the race semi-autonomous and increase the chances of winning. Students can develop programs that utilize techniques such as ball throwing, shortcuts searches, and short boosts. It’s a captivating blend of semi-autonomous navigation and strategic intervention that pushes the boundaries of what our students can achieve with AI.

These contests are not just about competition; they’re about creativity, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of AI principles. They’re about showcasing what our learners can achieve when given the tools and freedom to experiment and innovate.

Our learners’ journey with AutoAuto, we believe, goes beyond mastering Python and AI. It’s about understanding how to apply these principles to create something tangible, exciting, and fun. It’s about learning how to self-learn, taking risks, making mistakes, and growing from them.

With the launch of the AutoAuto Autonomous Contests, we’re taking a significant step towards fulfilling this vision. We can’t wait to see what our students will achieve next. It’s time to start your engines, innovators of tomorrow!
